About this blog

This was the blog of the former Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC). For the latest news and updates, please follow the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

This blog has been set up to let those with an interest in energy and climate change issues, share their thoughts, ideas and experiences. The contributors have a wide range of perspectives reflecting their different and varied roles in the public, private and charitable sectors. The posts contain the personal views of our bloggers.

Please note, that posts written by our guest bloggers may not reflect the views of DECC or the UK government. We invite you to share your views with us.

We undertake to read all comments posted and to respond where appropriate. Try to keep your comments short – we won’t publish articles longer than 500 words. Due to resource limitations, we will only monitor responses up to 3 months after the original posting of each blog.

We encourage open, lively debate but the decision to publish comments received via this site remains at DECC’s discretion. We will endeavour to publish comments as soon as possible, but please note that this will take longer outside of core working hours.
